Great Wolf Lodge: Mother Held Without Bail

Mother Held Without Bail

Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026Pocono Township

Metallica Rose Harrison, the 27-year-old Towanda woman charged with two counts of criminal homicide in the deaths of her husband and their 3-year-old son at Great Wolf Lodge in Pocono Township, is being held in the Monroe County jail without bail, according to Lehigh Valley Live, a story we first told you about Wednesday (Oct. 14). She was arraigned Tuesday (Oct. 13) before District Judge Daniel Kresge, who denied bail. Her husband has been identified as Charles Harrison, 36. Metallica Harrison is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

What the Family Told Investigators. Search warrant records, as reported by Lehigh Valley Live and 28/22 News, include accounts from Charles Harrison’s mother and sister, who were interviewed late Monday night (Oct. 12). They said the family had been isolated from Charles and the boy for about three years. His sister told investigators that Metallica Harrison was controlling and had kept them apart, that she believed Harrison resented the boy and never wanted to get pregnant, and that Harrison had made comments about the boy taking away one-on-one time with her husband. That is one family’s account, written into a document police used to get permission to search. It is not a finding by a court, and we have not seen Harrison’s side. She declined to speak with police, according to the criminal complaint.

What Investigators Found at the Home. Police searched the family’s Towanda home Tuesday (Oct. 13) and found an electric shutoff notice on the front door, according to Lehigh Valley Live and 28/22 News. A lawn care worker told officers he had not seen the family in about a month. The warrant inventory also lists journals, financial records and a safe. The family checked in at Great Wolf Lodge Sept. 21 and extended their stay Oct. 5, with checkout set for Oct. 13, according to 28/22 News.

What’s Next. Lehigh Valley Live reports a preliminary hearing is tentatively set for 10 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 21) before Judge Kresge. A preliminary hearing is where a judge decides whether there is enough evidence to send a case toward trial. We will tell you when the court confirms a date.

What We Don’t Know. Autopsy results are still to come, and we have not seen authorities say what led to the killings. Lehigh Valley Live reported that no defense attorney was listed for Harrison as of Tuesday afternoon.
